TikTok Rating Down: What started as a rivalry between YouTube and TikTok content creators, has turned its way to a political dimension. The hashtag #BanTikTokInIndia #tiktokdown and #tiktokexposed are currently trending on Twitter. (check: Most Liked Indian YouTube Videos.)

The movement to ban TikTok in India started when a trending Twitter video caught the attention of BJP leader Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga and he tagged Rekha Sharma, Chairperson of National Commission of Women (NCW) India.

She, then, confirmed that the matter will be taken to the Government of India and will plea for the ban of the Chinese video-sharing application.

• On May 19, TikTok’s rating fell down to 2.0 from 4.5 stars.
• On May 20, the ratings of Tik Tok dropped and updated to 1.3 stars. TikTok Lite’s ratings are still 1.1 stars.
• On May 20, TikTok has suspended Faizal Siddiqui’s account.
• On May 21, it further fell down to 1.2.
• On May 22, it went up to 1.3.
